Seven elegant days from Casablanca: Rabat, Volubilis, Fez with a private guide, a luxury desert camp, a Dades kasbah and Marrakech.
This luxury Morocco tour of 7 days joins the imperial cities and the Sahara in one comfortable week. You start in Casablanca with the Hassan II Mosque, sleep in a luxury hotel in Rabat, visit Meknes and the Roman city of Volubilis, and spend two nights in a luxury riad in Fez. A private licensed guide shows you the old medina of Fez for a full day.
Then a private 4x4 takes you to a luxury camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, with a private dinner on the dunes, and to a luxury kasbah in the Dades Gorges. You finish in Marrakech. To plan your week, read our 7-day Morocco itinerary and our luxury Morocco travel guide. Every part can be changed in a tailor-made trip.
This tour is offered only in the Luxury category.
Day 1
Your private driver welcomes you at Casablanca airport or your hotel. First you visit the Hassan II Mosque, built on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean; when it is open, you can join a guided tour inside. Then you drive along the Corniche, the seaside road. In the afternoon you continue to Rabat, the capital, about 1 hour 30 minutes away. You see the Hassan Tower and walk in the blue and white lanes of the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Night in a luxury hotel in Rabat.
Overnight: Rabat
Day 2
After breakfast you drive to Meknes, the city of Sultan Moulay Ismail, and stop at Bab Mansour, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco. Then you visit Volubilis, a Roman city protected by UNESCO, with columns, arches and fine floor mosaics. In the afternoon you reach Fez and check in to a luxury riad with a tiled courtyard, carved wood and a quiet terrace. The evening is free to rest. Night in Fez.
Overnight: Fez
Day 3
Today your private licensed guide shows you Fez el-Bali, one of the largest car-free medinas in the world. You walk through narrow lanes full of craftsmen, see the outside of Al Quaraouiyine, founded in 859, and the fine madrasas with carved cedar wood and tiles. From a terrace you look down on the Chouara tannery. You also meet master artisans in their workshops: brass engravers, weavers and zellige tile makers. The afternoon is free for the spa. Second night in Fez.
Overnight: Fez
Day 4
You drive south through the Middle Atlas, with a stop in Ifrane and the cedar forest, home of Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt you follow the Ziz Valley and its palm groves. In the late afternoon you reach Merzouga and ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Your luxury camp has a private tent with a real bed and a bathroom. Tonight our team serves you a private dinner on the dunes, under a sky full of stars.
Overnight: Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
Day 5
Wake up early to watch the sunrise from the top of a dune, then enjoy breakfast at the camp. You drive west along the old caravan road to Tinghir and its long palm grove. There you walk inside the Todra Gorges, between rock walls that rise very high above a small river. In the afternoon you continue to the Dades Gorges, with red rocks and a famous winding road. Dinner and night in a luxury kasbah with mountain views.
Overnight: Dades Valley
Day 6
After breakfast you drive through the Rose Valley, known for rose water and small earth villages, and pass Ouarzazate, the town of film studios. Then you visit Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO earth village, and climb to the top for a wide view. After lunch you cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 metres. You arrive in Marrakech in the evening and check in to a luxury riad in the medina. Night in Marrakech.

Your last morning in Marrakech is free. You can relax in your riad, visit the Majorelle Garden or walk in the souks and Jemaa el-Fna square. A private local guide is optional and can be booked on request. Depending on your flight time, your private driver then takes you to Marrakech airport.
