Morocco Tour from Brazil: Visa, Flights & Travel Tips

Brazilian travellers often feel at home in Morocco: the people are warm, the food is rich and there is always music. A Morocco tour from Brazil also combines very well with Portugal, which is just a short flight from Marrakech.

Our Portugal and Morocco tour starts in Lisbon and continues through the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara and the imperial cities. All our tours are private, so you travel with your own driver and can change the plan as you wish.

Visa

⚠ Pending verification: Pending verification – always confirm with the Moroccan embassy or consulate before booking flights.

Brazilian passport holders have commonly been able to visit Morocco for tourism without a visa, usually for up to 90 days. Rules can change, so please confirm with the Moroccan embassy or consulate in Brazil before you buy your flights.

Your passport should be valid for at least six months after arrival.

Flights and connections

Royal Air Maroc has operated direct flights between São Paulo and Casablanca. Please check the current schedule, as routes change. Other options connect through Lisbon, Madrid or Paris.

If you combine Portugal and Morocco, you can fly from Brazil to Lisbon and then take a short flight to Marrakech (RAK).

Money and payments

Morocco uses the dirham (MAD), a closed currency you will get only in Morocco. Bring euros or US dollars to exchange, or use ATMs in the cities. Keep cash for markets and small places.

Best time to travel

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best seasons. Remember that the seasons are opposite to Brazil: when it is winter in Brazil (June to August), it is summer in Morocco and very hot in the Sahara.

The Brazilian summer holidays (December to February) are winter in Morocco. Days are often sunny, but nights in the desert are cold, so bring a warm jacket. Carnival time in February is a good moment for a quieter trip.

Safety and health

Morocco is generally safe for visitors. Use normal care in busy medinas, keep valuables in a closed bag and use licensed guides. Drink bottled water and take travel insurance, which is mandatory for our tours.
